General booking conditions & rental contract
2° The lessor temporarily transfers the custody of the equipment to the lessee, who accepts it.
3° The lessor is not responsible for the use of the equipment by the lessee or by the beneficiaries of this rental, from the time it is effectively made available until it is fully returned at the end of the rental period (closing, securing, transport, etc.).
RAIATEA KAYAK disclaims any responsibility in case of loss, theft, or damage to clients’ personal belongings, including their vehicles parked near the departure or arrival areas, and the objects they contain.
In case of an expedition to the motu, please leave before 4:00 PM to ensure a return before sunset.

SPECIAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
1° Direct rental to an unaccompanied minor is prohibited: every minor must be accompanied by an adult.
2° The lessee agrees to pay the lessor for the lost and/or damaged equipment, according to the rates listed below.

CONDITIONS FOR USING RENTED EQUIPMENT
1° The lessor informs the lessee of the conditions for using the equipment and the obligations that they must fulfill:
- Be able to swim at least 25 meters, submerge, and behave comfortably in the aquatic environment.
- Have the necessary knowledge (and technical, physical, etc., capabilities) and experience to undertake the planned routes.
- Wear the life jacket and appropriate attire for canoeing.
As well as the prohibitions that must not be violated:
- Do not use the paddles as a pole to push the kayak in shallow water.
- Do not abandon your nautical equipment and trash along the route.
- Do not navigate while intoxicated.
2° The lessee agrees to inform the persons for whom (or on whose behalf) they rented the equipment.
3° The lessee agrees to respect and enforce these rules for the persons for whom they rented the equipment.
PAYMENT
1° The lessee pays the amount or the balance for all rented equipment before taking possession of it.
2° The lessee agrees to pay the lessor for lost and/or damaged equipment, according to the annexed rates.
3° The deposit paid (particularly for rentals benefiting from a group rate) is non-refundable EXCEPT in cases of continuous rain, flooding, or if a cancellation notice is given at least 2 days in advance.
